It's the Year of Dragon, or Year of Loong, because the Chinese Dragon (Loong) is distinct from the Western Dragon. Chinese Loong is a benevolent creature and is a sign of good luck and the divine. But for some reason, depictions of Loong in Chinese media are often very appalling, deviating from how I envisioned Loong would look like. So I drew my own cute and grinning Loong 🐉
